Pri 14 letih (1967) je za\u010dela peti blues v klubu Morgan&#8217;s Lounge, v 70. letih pr. st. pa je igrala z glasbeniki, kot so <strong>Magic Slim<\/strong>, <strong>Buddy Guy<\/strong>, <strong>The Aces<\/strong>, <strong>Junior Wells<\/strong>&#8230;<br \/>\nNjena izku\u0161nja igranja s <strong>Sunnyland Slimom<\/strong> je pripeljala do njene prve samostojne izdaje, singla, izdanega za njegovo zalo\u017ebo &#8216;<em>Airway Records&#8217;<\/em>. Skupaj s pevkama <strong>Zoro Young<\/strong> in <strong>Bonnie Lee<\/strong> so kot &#8216;<em>Blues with the Girls<\/em>&#8216;, leta 1982 od\u0161le na evropsko turnejo in v Parizu posnele istoimenski album.
