Prvi\u010d je imel popolno umetni\u0161ko svobodo v studiu. Njegov drugi LP za Alligator, &#8216;<em>Dancing on the Edge<\/em>&#8216; (tri skladbe je odpel <strong>Delbert McClinton<\/strong>), je iz\u0161el konec leta 1986. Leto kasneje je izdal 12., in hkrati zadnji album, &#8216;<em>Hot Wires&#8217;<\/em>. 7. avgusta 1988 je zadnji\u010d nastopil, v Guilfordu, Connecticut.
