Leta 1967 se je preselil k zalo\u017ebi <em>Vanguard, <\/em>tej je sledilo mnogo drugih.<br \/>\nGuy je \u0161etkrat prejel nagrado <em>Grammy<\/em>, 23x(!) <strong>W.C. Handy Award<\/strong>, in leta 2003 <strong>The National Medal of Arts<\/strong>. Leta 2005 &#8211; <strong>Rock And Roll Hall of Fame<\/strong>, leta 2008 &#8211; <strong>The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>Amos Wells Blakemore Jr.<\/strong> (9. 12. 1934, West Memphis, Arkansas \u2013 15. 1. 1998, Chivago, Illinois) se je glasbi posvetil \u017ee v mladosti. Ko se je njegova dru\u017eina leta 1948 preselila v Chicago, je 14-letni Wells \u017ee bil odli\u010den orgli\u010dar.
